Swimming Workout

Date: March 11, 2009

Total Distance: 3,300 yards (Short Course Yards)

Main Set: 40 x 50yd all-out sprint A4 (as fast as possible) on 1:30 Alternating 2x thru of:
5 repeats butterfly
3 repeats zoomer freestyle (2 in the 2nd set)
2 repeats stationary swimming (3 in the 2nd set)
10 repeats freestyle (every other was 25 underwater kick, 25 sprint)

Average times:: Butterfly: 27s
Zoomer free 24s
Freestyle (with 25yd underwater) 27s
Freestyle swim 25s
Then, 10 x 25yd sprint on 1:00, freestyle, as fast as possible. Average time ~11.5seconds

Notes: This set definitely did some damage. Thompson was in attendance again. It helps because I can't do this kind of work alone. I get a few days off doing some fishing this weekend and I really feel like I earned it with this workout.
